Kitchener apartments can be found throughout the city. If you want easy access to Hwy 8, which leads to Hwy 401, consider looking near Fairview Park Mall on Fairway Road S. In this area you will find several buildings. Specifically, you will want to search on Cedarwoods Crescent, Greenfield Avenue, Wilson Avenue or Vanier Drive.
If you want to be close to downtown, there is no shortage of buildings to choose from. The downtown area is older but is being revitalized and offers a little of something for everyone. Start your search along Westmount Road or Belmont Avenue. You can also look along Victoria Avenue or Queen Street. There are many more apartment buildings to be found on nearby side streets so take your time and look around.
University of Waterloo students normally live in Waterloo however some do choose to live in Kitchener. The key here will be to choose an apartment on a main bus route such as King Street or an apartment with easy access to Hwy 85. By doing so, you can quickly commute up the highway to University Ave and be at the campus in no time. Try checking out some apartments on Margaret Avenue or perhaps even in the Ottawa Street and Weber Street area.
Kitchener is connected with Waterloo and most people simply refer to the two cities as K-W. As a result, many people work in Kitchener and live in Waterloo and vice versa. It's not uncommon for some people to look for an apartment in Cambridge or Guelph either. Cambridge is attractive mainly because Hwy 401 cuts through the city making commuting to areas such as Toronto and Hamilton a possibility. Guelph on the other hand is simply a highly desirable city to live in. Access to the 401 isn't the best though and Hwy 7 across to Kitchener/Waterloo is often congested.
